Tutorials / HOW-TO

Work with documents, libraries & folders

Focus the assistant on a project folder and understand the supported document boundaries.

Choose a smaller context

Open the full-page SHaiRO Workspace, then expand Document library / folder link. Select a library or paste a SharePoint folder URL or server-relative folder path, then choose Use folder.

The app and backend validate the folder within the approved site. The current view’s row selection and filters do not become an automatic document selection.

Try a project summary

Look in this project folder. Find the latest handover notes and summarise the outstanding actions. Include the source documents.

Then follow up with a document-specific request, such as a comparison of two identified files. Verify that the sources are the files and versions you intended.

Supported extraction

The current backend extracts text from DOCX, text-based PDF, TXT, CSV and Markdown. Scanned PDFs need a separate OCR workflow. Extraction is bounded: PDF processing covers up to 30 pages and the returned document excerpt is limited in size.

A document existing in SharePoint does not mean all its content or file format can be processed. Large files, unsupported formats, download restrictions and missing permissions can prevent retrieval.

Keep your question precise

Use project names, filenames and date ranges when possible. If the answer misses a section of a long document, narrow the question to a specific file and topic. A model answer is not a full-library audit.

Only the current approved site and content available under the signed-in user’s delegated access should be used.
